Stacy A. Pinto Past-President

Stacy A. Pinto (she/they) is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Program Director of the School Counseling degree program at the University of Denver. She is originally from northern NJ and has been in Denver since 2018. Stacy holds a PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision and her experience spans a variety of counseling settings, including P-12 and higher education environments, and both in-home and community-based mental health services. Her scholarly interests include queer issues across the lifespan, intersectionality, sexual identity labeling and language, and the creation of intentional, affirming counseling and educational environments across settings. Stacy's work focuses on building queer-related awareness and competency in developing counselors and educators, promoting queer representation within P-12 schools, and equipping others to do the same. Stacy has been involved with CO-SAIGE, previously known as the CCA LGBTQ+ subscription, since 2019 and is excited to continue collaborating toward the mission of this division!
