Jasmin Gonzalez Administrative Assistant

What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you” -Emerson

My name is Jasmin Gonzalez, an LPCC and volunteer at Colorado Counseling Association since (2024), I recently graduated from Colorado Christian University with a Masters in Clinical Counseling in Mental Health.

My passion is to continue to pave the way for future generations and explore the dynamics within minority communities and stigma of the mental health world. As a Latina, I witnessed first-hand the challenges and poor regard to mental health, reinforcing the idea that mental health was a luxury, not a necessity. My hope is that one day mental health will be seen as a basic provision to a healthy well-rounded life.

I work with a wide range of clients such as adolescents (10-18), young adults (18-25), and adults (25-55) who experience anxiety, sexual abuse, trauma, ADHD, perfectionism, depression, and life transitions. Every client has a unique story with previous experiences that have molded them into who they are. My approach is through a culturally sensitive lens that helps empower clients and challenge them to explore their potential and purpose and help clients rediscover their hope.
